Problem

How to start and stop VERITAS NetBackup Advanced Reporter on Solaris and HP systems

Solution

There are two ways of stopping and starting VERITAS NetBackup Advanced Reporter (NBAR) on these systems.

HP O/S:

/sbin/rc2.d/S901nbar stop                    to stop NBAR
/sbin/rc2.d/S901nbar start                 to start NBAR

or

<NBAR_install_path>/bin/nbar stop              to stop NBAR
<NBAR_install_path>/bin/nbar start         to start NBAR


Solaris OS:

/etc/rc2.d/S90nbar stop                   to stop NBAR
/etc/rc2.d/S90nbar start                      to start NBAR

or

<NBAR_install_path>/bin/nbar stop           to stop NBAR
<NBAR_install_path>/bin/nbar start        to start NBAR
